Now sad and faded, without engines and hemmed in by unemployed Four Star Cargo Skytrains, this former Tol-Air aircraft awaits the scrapman.

Apparently, a rudder is all that's left of this erstwhile Luscombe Silvaire. It's on display at the Aviation Hall of Fame of New Jersey.

Perhaps this is the only aircraft that hasn't been moved over the past four years, though with the ugly blue top gone, there is more of this forlorn bird to see.

Three years after I saw her last, this Cessna 310 has been moved to the front of the Twin Pine "terminal" and, in the process, been transformed into a taildragger. Twin Pine is no more, its turf runways making way for sports fields and parking lots.

Three years after I spotted this aircraft, it had been moved to the front of the airport and unceremoniously dumped there, looking even more ragged than before.

With flattened tires and a missing nosewheel, this poor Skyhawk looks like she has been sitting on this weed-choked lot for a while.

This 1942 aircraft seemed to have had hopes of restoration and taking to the skies again. However, both the airport and the aircraft were abandoned and forgotten.
